Instructions for Child Extras Saturday August 14th Morning
Hello! We’re very excited to be shooting our “Christmas Pageant Backstage” scene and we’re looking forward to having you involved. We are looking for 20+ Child Extras for this shoot. We may also need some “parents” / adult extras.

It is important for you to carefully read the wardrobe notes below to ensure you are in the correct clothing or you may not be able to appear in the scene.
When:
Saturday August 14th MORNING
Call time: Check-in: 9:45am
Rehearsal: 10:00am
Shoot time: 10:30pm to 1:00pm

Craft services and bathroom breaks will happen during the shoot. Lunch at the end of the shoot.
MINORS:
All minors involved must have a parent / legal guardian sign a release form to be involved. All minors involved must have a supervising adult with them on set at all times.
CHILD WARDROBE NOTES:
- The children will be in pageant costumes like “wise men”, “shepherds”, “sheep”, “donkey” etc. Your child will be costumed based on clothing size. Sign up and we will contact you directly with any additional information.
ADULT WARDROBE NOTES:
- Thank you for wearing your own clothes!
- You will be backstage with your child just prior to the church Christmas Pageant on Christmas Eve.
- Please wear Winter style Christmas Eve clothing. (Anything from a fun “Christmas” outfit (Christmas sweater, red/green clothing) to a nice party outfit.) Just wear something you would wear to a Christmas event with your children.
- Christmas accessories like earrings or pins can also be used.
EXAMPLES: Khaki’s, slacks, nice jeans, modest skirts with tights, button front shirts, polo shirts, nice tshirts, modest blouses/tops, sweaters, cardigans, dresses. (Ladies, please wear conservative outfits. For example, please avoid low cut tops and short skirts.)
NO high contrast colors (e.g. black&white stripes), NO busy prints/patterns, NO bright/neon colors (e.g. orange, yellow, hot pink). The High Definition cameras have a hard time with these. If in doubt, still bring it as one of your options. NO brands, icons or faces on your clothing. These have copyright issues.
PLEASE keep in mind: the set will be quite hot but you do need to look like it’s winter. Wear light weight clothing but still make sure your arms are covered like it’s cold.
MAKE-UP & HAIR NOTES:
Thanks everyone, we’ll double check your hair & make-up on set to make sure you’ll look great!
CHILDREN and MEN: Come with hair styled and a clean face.
WOMEN: Come with hair styled and make up done as if going to a “Festive” Christmas evening at church. It’s a bit more “done up” than casual Sunday church. If you normally do not wear make-up please do your best to put something on your face (e.g. lipstick and a little blush) so you don’t get washed out by the powerful lighting.
